FILM

Something about me and photography & film-making…

During my sophomore year, I participated in the Dare to be Digital game design competition. Our game immersed the player in a storyline that followed the journey with a kind old man.

I approached the shot language systematically, incorporating a multitude of professional features and aesthetics. With montages, jump cutting, and the critical influence background-music serves in a film, my desire to integrate these aspects in my future work was consolidated.

The narrative approach empowers films with palpable tension and can evoke the deeper emotions of audiences. These emotional elements are what I seek to convey in my following information design projects. My finished projects have given me an enlightenment that design needs to resonate with users, and that, by opening the emotional channel, design is able to yield more meaningful results.

I take short clips every now and then, and occasionally edit and combine them into videos to chronicle my life and record my evolving interests over time.

Through the interaction between clips in a common display screen and people in the real world, the simulated experience is triggered, thus travelers are able to experience their destinations in advance.
